Yesterday, I saw an interesting short film on Youtube – The film is called “Happiness” by Steve Cutts.
You are more than welcome to watch it now and get back to me -> link

Watched it? Great!
I loved the film so much that I ended up sending it to all of my close ones saying that it is one of the best short films I saw.
The reactions I got surprised me in a way that I had to write about it.
First I’d like to ask you, what do you think about the film?
How did it make you feel?
Amused? Sad? Frustrated? Curious? Happy? Something else?
Please feel free to write in the comments.

How did I feel?
I enjoyed the film’s clarity about the reality we live in and loved how it brings automated behaviors to awareness in such a blunt way.
Basically, I think that what made me send the film to my close ones is that I wanted to share with them this amazing clarity “tool” I just discovered.
Well, as I said, I write now because of their surprising reactions.
I was surprised to see that not only they didn’t enjoy the film as I did, they became frustrated because of it and from the sub-context of their reactions they basically told me:
We know that this is our reality, so why the hell do you rub it in our face?!
First I was offended by the lack of gratitude and from some people who chose to just ignore me and change the subject, but five minutes later I started thinking about what just happened and why they reacted that way.
People will react that way if they feel like victims that don’t have another choice…
I refuse to see myself as a victim. I think that we are responsible for our choices and what we choose to do makes us who we are.
But now I wonder, are we surrounded by people who feel like victims?
Do most of us work on automatic behavior or feel like there is no other choice?
I refuse to believe that this is the truth.
What do you think?
